The Ground Cried Out in Pain

I've tried fighting it, but I just can’t resist posting this story. It happened in Hillsboro, Oregon, which is near to where I live. It was there that a man was caught trying to break into the Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals.

Ho-hum!

But the WAY the criminal approached his crime was awesome. He camouflaged himself as a pile of moss. (This type of outfit is called a ghillie suit.) Then tried the moss-man tried to get through a hole in the wall of the museum. What stopped him? A police dog!

Can you imagine what was going through the mind of the police dog? “Sure, it looks like a bunch of ferns and lichen, but I smell something rotten under there!

According to officers:
"The K9 tracked to a wooded area and was very interested in a particular piece of ground about a half a mile away from the building. The dog then bit the ground that in turn cried out in pain."
That is the coolest sentence ever! (Many news stories on this, like over here.)
