In 1933, Virginia Woolf's biography,
Flush, was published. One wonders, why was one of literature’s greatest talents writing a book called Flush? Apparently, because that was the name of Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s cocker spaniel.
It’s all crystal-clear to me now!
