I Like Mappy Maps

In the United Kingdom, independent booksellers have been sharing stories of some of their funniest bookstore questions. Here are a couple of doozies:

“Did Charles Dickens write any shorter versions of his books?” (Answer: No.)

“Did Anne Frank write any books AFTER her diary?” (Answer: No!)

And then there’s the man who needed to get some maps.

“What kind of maps?” asked the bookseller.

“Mappy maps,” the man replied.

Finally, there’s the young woman who bought a copy of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. (It’s a humorous science-fiction novel.) She later returned the book because she was going to Italy…and the book didn’t have information on it!
