It's quite a yarn when this cowpoke pulls out his purl-handled revolver. Dave Fougner wrote this book in 1972 with two things in mind:
“There is definitely a dual purpose in the writing of this book. The first is to introduce knitting to those men who have an interest but are reluctant to try. Then too, it is hoped that the many men who now knit will become less reluctant to admit it.”
I think it's clear that the intervening years have vindicated these motivations. Thanks to Donna M. and Robert Basler for the gags at the top of this post. Oh, and as a bonus for Sonoma County residents, this book was published in Santa Rosa. (Via.)
