What Not to Ask the Guy Who Test Drove His “Hungry Hungry Hippo” Soapbox Derby Racer Past Your House

1. "Dude, where’s the engine?" (It runs on gravity.)
2. "What's that giant LEGO piece with eyes?" (That’s the hippo head. It opens!)

3. "Where’s the rest of the body?" (In construction for the official competition next week.)

4. "Ooh, can I drive it?" (No.)

5. "Can I sit in the back?" (Yes, if that’s what it takes to shut you up.)

6. "Wow, this is great! Can I be part of the team that rides on it in the official competition next week?"
(You're still talking? Get out! *shove*)

That's one tough cookie!

Kudos to this young baker, whose "Crapola Cookies" (from BOY STUFF) are disturbingly authentic! (And thank you to Jessa Works for sharing.)

Open up and say "Awesome"! (Who knew popsicle sticks were so cool?)

So Austria has a “Domino Team” that set a new Guinness World Record. It was for the biggest popsicle stick chain reaction (or “stick bomb”). These folks used 30,849 sticks.

But you can make your own stick bomb with way fewer! (But you need at least two.)

Caution: Take your time eating the popsicles. You don’t want to let an ice cream headache ruin your stick bomb.

And the Oscar for "Set Design" goes to...

DIYDad make this VW Van bed for his daughter. Not only is this way cool, but it looks just like my favorite car. (Of course, I've only owned two cars, so it's not a huge competition!)

Macra-Mates must be eliminated.

"Babs Applegate" wrote the cover story? Of course she did.

Yesterday, my wife saw a guy with a bunch of macramé plant hangers crossing the street .

"Looks like someone's getting his weave on," she said.

And along DIY lines, this is still one of my all-time favorite ads:

Do you want your very own BookMobile?

Then print this out and put it together!

The finished product will look like this.

Thanks, Bob Staake!
